Rndm - Album
Raheem Jarbo doesn't really have the typical background associated with rappers and hip-hop producers in today's business, and neither are his musical tastes and inclinations any more conventional. In 2006, with a dollar and a dream and access to a recording studio during a stint as a music engineer, the native Philadelphian recorded a demo which found its way to emcee and Soul Model owner Ohene, whose interest was piqued by the tape. Jarbo, or Random but now Mega Ran, signed to Soul Model's RAHM Recordings division but later moved to Phoenix, Arizona to teach middle school and special education, all the while creating underground rap albums with a chiptune/nerdcore persuasion, the most recognized being the Mega Man inspired Mega Ran from 2007.
review - Absolutely fantastic. I've heard about Mega Ran on and off for several years now and just recently started checking out his stuff. I'm thoroughly impressed with what I've heard so far and hope that his future work continues to be just as good as this. Five Stars. Stellar Work.
